Marie (DiFeola) LaMarca

Marie (DiFeola) LaMarca of Wakefield passed away on Thursday, April 03, 2014 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. She was 90 years of age.

Born on August 2, 1923, Marie was the loving daughter of the late Anthony DiFeola and Annette (Amato) DiFeola. She was the loving step daughter of the late Vincenza (Patetta) DiFeola. Marie was a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Marie raised her family in Everett. She worked as a stitcher for many years before taking a job in the insurance division of the Registry of Motor Vehicles as a clerk. She loved helping to raise her grandson, and then helping raise her great grand daughter. In her spare time, Marie enjoyed reading, writing and watching old movies.

Marie was the beloved wife of the late Guy LaMarca. She was the devoted mother of Annette Hartz-Rotigliano and her husband Anthony. She was the cherished grandmother of Paul Hartz and his wife Kristen. Marie was the loving great grandmother of Michaela. She was the dear sister of the late John DiFeola. Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Marie's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Monday, April 7, 2014 from 4-7pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and handicapped elevator are available. Interment Glenwood Cemetery, Everett.
