Marie E. (Bry) Power of Reading passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at her home. She was 83 years of age.
Born in Cambridge, Marie was a longtime resident of Reading. Marie was a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all.
Marie retired 35 years ago as an office manager for The Boston-Maine Railroad. She was a dedicated homemaker for many years. She taught French at Harvard University. Marie was a member of the Catholic Daughters at St. Agnes Church in Reading. She was a member of the Girl Scouts and the North Shore Organ Club.
Marie was the daughter of the late Charles Bry and Felicia (Piegney) Bry. She was the beloved wife of the late John Power. Marie was the devoted mother of Nicole Dinan of Groveland, Denise Edmonds of Salisbury and John Power of Raymond, New Hampshire. She was the cherished grandmother of Michelle, Aaron, Joseph, Bry, John, Mitchel and Elyse and the loving great grandmother of Madelyn, Julia, Bella and Sophie. Marie was the dear sister of Elizabeth Gumbert, Phyllis LeShane, Maurice Bry and the late Charles Power, Charolette Spencer, Tersa Chapman and Francis Bry. She was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Joseph Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Saturday at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Marie's life in St. Agnes Church 186 Woburn St. Reading at 9am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Friday 4-8pm. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot located behind Atlantic Supermarket on Haven St. Interment Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
