Sanchez- Marie (DeRose) of Groveland passed away surrounded by her children on May 14th. She was a special lady, a feisty Italian woman loved by family, friends, co-workers, patients and so many more. She was someone who had an innate nature to help and get involved, some would even call her a buttinsky. From her early career in nursing to her work in the mental health field, Marie was driven by this desire to help others. She was an avid Scrabble player who even while recovering from a massive stroke had a vocabulary the likes of a wordsmith. She loved to garden, cook, read, do jigsaw puzzles, play bridge and help people. She will be missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to visitation in the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St. (corner of Park St. and Rte. 28) North Reading at at Reading line on Wednesday, May 17th from 4-7pm.
