Marie A. (Peters) Sconsoni, of Wakefield, passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 19th, 2026 with her family by her side. She was 82 years of age.
Marie was devoted to her family and loved family gatherings. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of the Cedars of Lebanon Church where she did fund raising, worked on baked sales and children’s Christmas parties. Marie ran the 1st Annual church bazaar in 1967 to 2013.
Marie loved to bake which she learned from her father who was a baker, she loved knitting and embroidering which she learned from her Mother. Marie worked at Boston Police Department for 49 1/2 years beginning in administration jobs and working herself up to a training coordinating at the Police Academy. Marie loved traveling with Michael especially to Italy and their favorite place was Venice.
Marie is the beloved wife of the late Michael J. Sconsoni. Marie is the cherished daughter of Abdo Peters and Linda (Saker) Peters. She is the loving sister of the late Matilda Rossi and her late husband Anthony, Amy Peters, Lyla Peters Wiedeman and her late husband Russell. She is the dear sister in law of Donna Belyea and her husband David and Richard Sconsoni and his wife Maria. Dear Aunt and Godmother to many nieces and nephews, loving cousins and beloved friend of Roseanne Solomon.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM on Wednesday May 27th, 2026 at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Marie's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10 am. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Stoneham.
Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with her family on Tuesday May 26th, 2026 from 4 pm to 7 pm in the funeral home. Parking attendants and elevator available.
