Marilene (Dermarkar) Azer

Marilene Azer (Dermarkar), of Fort Lauderdale Florida, formerly of Stoneham, passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 8, 2023 after a 3.5 year battle with cancer. She was 71 years of age.

Marilene received her education at McGill university in Montreal, Canada. She spent her career as an IT specialist before retiring in 2013. She enjoyed spending her retirement in the warm sunshine of Florida.

Marilene is the beloved wife of Anwar Azer. She is the devoted mother of Phillip Azer and his wife Rosanna and Marc Azer and his wife Sarah. Loving grandmother of Eva, Maci, Miles, Joseph, John, Thomas, and William. Dear sister of the late Georges Wadid Dermarkar and his late wife Denise, Mona Dermarkar and her husband David, Magda Labbad and her husband Nagui, Layla Eastwood and her husband Fred. Aunt of Marilou, Julie and Simon Dermarkar, Barbara and Carol Adly, Andrew and Sandra Labbad, Shawn, Michael and Kevin Eastwood. Sister in law of Atef Adly and his wife Isabelle, Osiris Azer and his wife Magda and Ramsis Azer.

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with the family on Monday March 13th, 2023 in the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM from 4 pm to 7 pm. Parking attendants and elevator available.

A Funeral Mass Celebrating Marilene’s Eternal Life will be held on Tuesday March 14th, 2023 in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10 am. Please go directly to church.
