Mario M. Lentine of Stoneham passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2010, at Wingate of Reading. He was 88 years of age.
Born in Winchester, Mario was the loving son of the late Beatrice and Gasper Lentine. Mario was a warm and loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed.
Mario was a dedicated welder for many years. His family was first and foremost in his life. His love for them went unparalleled. During WWII, Mario proudly defended our freedom by serving in the United States Army Air Corps.
Mario loved spending time with his family in their motor home on Baxter Lake.
Mario was the beloved husband of 64 years of Edith E. (Pinciaro) Lentine. He was the devoted father of Judy Fowler and her husband John, Mario Lentine, Jr. and his wife Barbara all of Stoneham, Laura Bennett and her husband Bill of New Hampshire and Bill Lentine and his wife Karen of Methuen. Marion was the cherished grandfather of Lisa Haggis, Kerry Covelluzzi, Michael Lentine, Courtney Fowler, Jenna Lentine, Nicole Lentine, Chris Bennett and Krystle Bennett. He was the great grandfather of Michael, Joseph, Christina and Melina. Mario was the dear brother of the late Anthony, Andrew and Beatrice.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Monday at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Mario's life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Sunday from 2-6 pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants will be available. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham.
