Marjorie Elizabeth (Killoran) Moore

Marjorie Elizabeth Moore, age 93, passed away peacefully at her home on September 29th surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Philip P. Moore with whom she shared over 47 years of marriage.

Marjorie was born on a farm in Belledune, New Brunswick, Canada on February 21, 1929 to the late William and Helen (Duke) Killoran. Upon completion of high school, she went on to graduate from Hotel Dieu School of Nursing in Bathurst, New Brunswick as a registered nurse.

Marjorie immigrated to Boston in 1951 to pursue her nursing career. She worked at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital for 42 years, ending her career as the Employee Health Nurse.

Marjorie was a member of St. Patrick’s parish. Above all else, Marjorie loved her family and the memories she made with her husband, children, grandchildren will last forever.

Marjorie is survived by her children, Marjorie Aten of Eugene, Oregon; MaryAnn Moore of Stoneham and Elizabeth Connolly of Lynnfield as well as her grandchildren Marianne, Michael, John and his wife Dayna, Mark and his wife Rachel, Michael and his wife Jennifer and her great grandson Jack. In addition to many dear nieces, nephews and friends.

She was the beloved sister of the late Wallace Killoran (Charlestown), Carmel Killoran (Melrose), Mary Williamson (Winchester) and Kilroy and Teresa of Canada.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Marjorie’s Family on Friday, October 7^th from 8:30 – 9:30am in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Parking attendants and elevator are available. A Funeral Mass Celebrating Marjorie’s Eternal Life will be held on Friday at 10am in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham.
