Mary B. (Healy) Bird

Mary B. (Healy) Bird of Stoneham passed away on August 6, 2016 at age 95. Mary was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.

Mary was a loving person who raised her family in Stoneham Massachusetts and was married to her late husband for 73 wonderful years. Mary dedicated her time to helping in any way possible and was a volunteer at New England Memorial Hospital, Winchester Hospital and Saint Patrick's Food Group. Some of her hobbies included bowling, bingo and knitting but noting brought more joy then her time looking after her grandchildren. Mary will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Mary was the beloved wife of the late Frank J. Bird Jr. Devoted mother of Frank J. Bird III and his wife Carol, William J. Bird Sr. and his wife Sandy, Carol A Bird-Poto and her husband Nick, James A. Bird and his wife Kim and Susan M. Schueneman and her husband Gregg. Cherished grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 7. She was pre-deceased by two brothers and her sister. Mary is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Mary was the loving daughter of the late Maurice M. Healy and Katherine (Hennessey) Healy.

Funeral from the Barile Family funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Friday, August 12th at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Mary's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family on Thursday August 11th from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available.
