Mary Ellen (Fratello) Connolly, a long time resident of Reading, formerly of Canton, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Lahey Clinic. Born in Cambridge, Mary was a graduate of Cambridge Latin High School. She was a hairdresser at Filene's in Boston for many years.
The beloved wife of the late John D. "Sonny" Connolly, formerly of Norwood, her many survivors include her children John Connolly and his wife Donna of Andover; Maryellen LeBlanc and her husband Steve of Canton; Marie Barrows and her husband Bill of North Reading. Her grandchildren include: Matthew Connolly and his fiance Pam Van Dort, Sean Connolly and his wife Teri, Ryan and Jenna Barrows and her great grandson Weston Connolly. Mary most enjoyed spending summers with her family on Cape Cod.
Services will be private.
