Mary R. (Thompson) McDermott of Wakefield passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2010 at Oosterman's Rest Home. She was 102 years of age.
Born in Boston, Mary was the daughter of the late Mary (Fuery) and Joseph Thompson.
Mary was a loving wife, mother, aunt and friend and will be missed by all.
Mary was the beloved wife of the late Peter J. McDermott. She was the devoted mother of Mary G. McDermot - Muir and her husband Roger of Wakefield. Loving aunt of Elizabeth Farley of Hanover, Mary Thompson of Woburn, Edward Thompson of Pepperell, Mary Stewart of Lynnfield, Joseph Thompson of E. Bridgewater, Joseph Scally of Walpole. She is also survived by many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Thursday at 9am followed by a Funeral Service celebrating Mary's life in All Saints Episcopal Church, 79 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Wednesday from 3-7pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants will be available. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery, W. Roxbury.
