Mary (Quirk) O'Connor of Reading, formerly of Oak Park, Illinois, passed away on Christmas night, December 25, 2014, at her home. She was 84 years of age.
Mary was the beloved wife for 58 years of Richard P. O'Connor. She was the devoted mother of 8 children, Mary O'Connor, Maureen O'Connor, Julie LeDuc and her husband Don, Erin Barry and her husband Thomas, Thomas O'Connor and his wife Laurie, Katie Millerick and her husband William, Timothy O'Connor and his wife Susan and Patti Thomson and her husband Kevin. Mary was the cherished grandmother of 27 grandchildren. She was the loving daughter of the late Thomas Quirk and Mary Frances (Cooke) Quirk. Mary was the dear sister of William Quirk, Theresa Lewandowski, Catherine McNamee, Daniel Quirk and the late Michael Quirk, Aileen "Sis" Stonich, Thomas "Bud" Quirk, John Quirk and James Quirk. Mary is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass Celebrating Mary's Eternal Life will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 10am in Saint Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield. Interment Wood End Cemetery, Reading. Family and friends may gather prior to the Mass beginning at 8:45am in the DOHERTY-BARILE FAMILY FUNERAL HOME 11 LINDEN ST. READING. Parking attendants and handicapped entrance are available.
