Mary C. (Cullinane) Ragucci

Mary Christine (Cullinane) Ragucci, of Medford, beloved wife of Albert Ragucci of Medford, passed away unexpectedly at Tufts Medical Center on October 14. By her side was her devoted husband of 52 years and numerous family members.

The sister of Eileen Woods of Medford, John Cullinane of Needham, Thomas Cullinane of Sudbury and the late Elizabeth Fitzmaurice of Sandwich, Mrs. Ragucci, a former parishioner of St. James Parish in Medford, had been an active member of a number of church and charitable organizations.

A graduate of Somerville High School, Mrs. Ragucci worked for an advertising agency in Harvard Square for most of her professional life and devoted her retirement to a number of causes, including Give Kids the World of Kissimmee, Florida and most significantly to Camp Sunshine of Casco, Maine, an organization which provides a camp experience to children with life threatening illnesses, and their families. Mr. and Mrs. Ragucci have had a commitment to Camp Sunshine for more than 25 years.

Although the Raguccis had no children of their own, they earned the affection of hundreds of children through Camp Sunshine where Mary was affectionately known as the Craft Lady, and enjoyed loving relationships with their nieces and nephews:
Julie Woods of Uxbridge, John Woods of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, the late Christine Woods formerly of Wilmington, Matthew Woods of Medford, and Nancy Moyer of Medford; Megan Cullinane of Quincy, Sean Cullinane of West Bridgewater, Beth Starck of Needham, Kevin Cullinane of Brighton and Ian Cullinane of Newton; Dr. Carey Cullinane of California, Ellen Coleman of Chelmsford and Michael Cullinane of Sudbury; Rena Jeffery of Wakefield and Agnes Ciardiello of Everett.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM Wednesday October 19, 2016 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Mary's Eternal Life in Immaculate Conception Church 600 Pleasant St, Malden at 10am.

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share remembrances with the family Tuesday October 18th, 2016 from 3-7pm in the funeral home. Parking attendants and elevator available.

Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
