Mary Rita (White) Burt

Mary "Rita" (White) Burt of Stoneham, formerly of Medford, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Aberjona Nursing Center in Winchester. She was 90 years of age.

Born on October 18, 1926 in Medford, Rita was the loving daughter of the late Frank A. White and Marie (Carle) White. Rita was a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed.

Rita was employed at Cambridge Savings Bank in Arlington and Knox Brothers Dodge of Somerville. She loved her family and friends. A consummate homemaker, Rita loved cooking, traveling across France by bicycle and ballroom dancing. She was a kind and caring person, always willing to give to people in need.

Rita was the beloved wife of the late Allison E. Burt. She was the devoted mother of Donna M. (Burt) Weiss and her late husband Saul and Carol Ann (Burt) Brewster and her husband Dennis. The cherished grandmother of Michael Brewster and his wife Laurie, Daniel Brewster and his companion Michelle and Cheryl Camps-Campins and her husband Derek, Rita was the great grandmother of Sophie, Olivia, D.J., Cole and Savannah. She was the dear sister of Frank White, Jr. and his wife Christine, Paul White and his wife Lorraine and Barbara Cooper and her husband Bennie. Rita was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Thursday, October 27th at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Rita's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family on Wednesday, October 26th from 3-7pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
