Smith, Mary L. (Thibodeau)-of Reading, July 28 surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in Arlington on Dec. 24 1928 to the late Christopher and Alva (Burke) Thibodeau. She was the beloved wife of 60 years to Donald Smith and devoted mother of Dawn Asmar and her husband Mark of Somerset, Cheryl Smith and her husband Brian Philbin of RI and William Smith and his wife Carol of Andover.  Mary was also the proud grandmother of Richard Dupre and his wife Drew (Duford) and delighted great grandmother of Henry Paul Dupre. She is preceded in death by her sisters Christina Spayne, Elizabeth Thibodeau, Frances Cook and Jeanne Allard. Mary's funeral will begin on Monday, Aug. 3rd at 9:30am from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass  in  St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St., Reading at 10:30am. Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday between 2-6pm.  Interment will take place in Woodend Cemetery, Reading. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's name to the American Lung Assoc.of Mass. 393 Maple St., Springfield, MA. 01105.
