Mary Margaret Trant

June 30, 1999 — January 10, 2021

Mary Margaret Trant, age 21, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, January 10, 2021. She was born June 30, 1999 and resided with her family in Stoneham, Massachusetts.

Mary was a graduate of Stoneham High School class of 2017 and recently earned her nursing degree from Salem State University, while also completing her EMT Training. Mary lived and experienced more in her short life than most people could live in an entire lifetime. Mary was an outstanding athlete who was blessed to part of various Stoneham teams, including Volleyball, Basketball, Track, and Tennis. She was honored to be a SHS Carnival Ball attendant and had the privilege to have Coached Bishop Fenwick High School freshman Volleyball. Mary was an incredibly special and beautiful person with the biggest adoring dimples.

Mary lit up every room she walked into and had the biggest smile. Her gift was her compassion, empathy and how she loved and cared for others. She always put others before her and cared deeply about her family and friends. Everyone loved being around Mary who had a contagious laugh, amazing personality where you could be around and talk to her all day about anything. Mary was energetic and extremely smart and knew exactly what she wanted in life. Mary wanted to make a difference and care for others using her gifts for Nursing.

Mary loved the family's adventurous vacations and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends on Cape Cod and cruising in her boat, "The Lady Margaret". Mary always looked forward to Spring to open the family cottage on the Cape, where she could relax, catch the "next big wave", and loved to read in the peaceful setting.

Mary is the precious daughter of Daniel and Margaret (Meg Gebhard) Trant. She is the cherished sister of Samantha (Trant) Kelly and her husband Chris and Emily Trant and her Fiancé Devin McCarthy and her dear dog Teddy. Mary is survived by her adored maternal Grandparents Leonard J. Gebhard and Margaret A. (Peggy aka "Gramcracker") Gebhard. She is predeceased by her paternal Grandparents Robert P. Trant and Mary F. Trant. Mary is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends who loved her dearly.
