Mary M. (Halloran) Whalen of Reading passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2004 at Healthsouth New England Rehabilitation Hospital in Woburn.
Born in Reading, Mary was the daughter of the late Nicholas Halloran and Helen (Leszczynsky) Halloran. She was a warm and loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all.
Mary was an avid bingo player. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She had a soothing and gentle smile that embraced everyone who knew her.
Mary was the beloved wife of John J. Whalen. She was the devoted mother of Michael Whalen and his wife Angela of Peabody, Pat Tassi and her husband Peter of North Reading, Marcia Allder and her husband Russ of NH, Mary Whalen of Reading and Maureen Conway and her husband Brian of Methuen and the cherished grandmother of twelve. Mary was the dear sister of Patricia Kelleher of Wakefield, Richard Halloran of Reading and the late Alice Garrity and Martin Halloran.
Funeral from the Joseph Doherty Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Tuesday at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Agnes Church 186 Woburn St. Reading at 9am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Monday 4-8pm. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot located behind Atlantic Supermarket on Haven St. Interment will be in Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
