Matthew Christopher Murphy of Stoneham, passed away suddenly on January 6, 2021. Matt was born on December 23, 1987. Matt is the beloved son of Charles and Kathleen (Finn) Murphy of Stoneham. He is the cherished brother of Shawn Murphy and his wife Patrice of Stoneham and Lauren Dussault and her husband Christopher of Wakefield. The adored uncle of Tess and Ellie Dussault, Matt is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends who all loved him. Matt shared a special bond with his aunt Anne Paone, uncle Al, and cousin Alex Paone.
Matt was a longtime resident of Stoneham and a graduate of Stoneham High School's class of 2006. He was a loyal member of Local 22 and formerly a longtime employee in the beverage industry. He was also a proud member of the Red Men's Hall in Stoneham. Matt had a contagious smile that everyone felt when he walked in a room. He made everything fun, so many of us would go anywhere if Matt were going to be there. He was that guy! You knew he would make you laugh, and he always laughed at himself, which we all found so endearing. He was a loyal friend with nearly everyone who ever met him. Matt loved being around family and friends. He was a passionate Boston sports fan who enjoyed Cape Cod vacations and going out to restaurants.
