Maureen (Burke) Aruda

Maureen (Burke) Aruda of Stoneham passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at her home. She was 81 years of age.

Born on September 12, 1933 in Stoneham, Maureen was the loving daughter of the late Francis Burke and Alwilda (Bagley) Burke. Maureen was a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Maureen was a lifelong resident of Stoneham. Her family was first and foremost in her life. They meant everything to her.

Maureen was the beloved wife of John G. Aruda. She was the devoted mother of Nancy Christiansen and her husband Tom, Joanne Bolvin and her husband Gerald, Donna Aruda, John Aruda Jr. and his wife Cheryl. Maureen was the cherished grandmother of William Miner, Richard Miner, Sherri Dagger, Julie Aruda, Katie Bolvin, Kristy Bolvin and Sean Bolvin. She was the loving great grandmother of Capri Miner. Maureen was the dear sister of Francis Burke, Bernard Burke, George Burke, Ethel Duff, Margaret Hayes, Anita "Nancy" England and the late David Burke and William Burke. She was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM, Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Maureen's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
