Melanie B. (Balian) Berberian of Reading passed away on Wednesday April 9, 2008 at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading. She was 80 years of age.
Melanie was a resident of Reading for many years. She owned RMK Interiors Inc. in Reading for 45 years. She designed buildings at Bentley College, Park Plaza in Boston, and many different restaurants throughout the area. It was a business that grew on referrals' only, not advertising. She was most proud of her lineage and design. The Balian family was very prominent designers in Turkey and thus treated as royalty.
Melanie had a love for her family and grandchildren. She had a loving smile that reflected all of the friendships she made throughout the years. She will be missed by all.
Melanie was the beloved wife of the late Karekin Berberian. She was the devoted mother of Richard Berberian and his wife Christine of N. Andover. Loving grandmother of Haig and Elyse Berberian of N. Andover. Loving daughter of the late Hagop Balian and Araxi (Manouelian) Balian. Dear twin sister of Rose Manoogian and her late husband Charlie of N. Attleboro and the late Laura Harotian and her late husband Harry. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Saturday from 9-11am in St. Gregory's Armenian Church 158 Main St. N. Andover followed by a Funeral Service Celebrating Melanie's life at 11am.
Interment Vernon Grove Cemetery Milford.
