Melvin E. Merrill of Tewksbury passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at the Blaire House in Tewksbury. He was 84 years of age.
Born in Malden, Melvin was the loving son of the late Irma (Harriman) Merrill and Joseph Merrill.
During WWII, Melvin proudly defended our freedom by serving in the United States Army.
Melvin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He was the beloved husband of the late Mary L. (Beaudoin) Merrill. Devoted father of Michael J. Merrill and his wife Marlene, Joseph A. Merrill, Mary Jane Nagle and her husband Mark all of Tewksbury. Cherished grandfather of 4. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service celebrating Melvin's Life will be held on Tuesday at 11 am in the Chapel of the Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Monday from 4-8 pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants will be available. Interment with Military Honors Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
