Meta W. (Keller) Gerrior

Meta W. (Keller) Gerrior of Stoneham passed away peacefully at her home in Stoneham on Thursday, August 4, 2023.  She is 95 years of age.

Meta was born on Saturday, April 14, 1928 in Heidleberg, Germany.  She is a warm, loyal, kind & gentle daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.  She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.

Meta met the love of her life, Francis, in Germany where he was serving in the United States military forces. They crossed paths during a night out in the town, and it was love at first sight. Meta enjoyed skiing and spent time modeling in Germany. She also completed business school, where she made life long friends. Meta took great pride in creating a family; all of whom she loved endlessly and selflessly put each and every one of them before herself. 

Meta is the beloved wife of the late Francis L. Gerrior.  She is the devoted mother of Malcolm Keller, Frank Gerrior, Steven Gerrior, Joseph Gerrior and his wife Marci, the late Leo Gerrior and the late Lorraine Gerrior Maguire.  The cherished grandmother of Desiree, Damien, Kristina, Steven, Samantha, Morgan, Madison & Thomas, Meta is the doting great grandmother of Liam Morgan, Ashton, Gianna, Shane, Collin, Alayna, Sydney, and Maverick

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Meta’s Family on Tuesday, August 8^th from 4-7pm in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM.  Parking attendants and elevator are available.

A Funeral Mass Celebrating Meta’s Eternal Life will be held on Wednesday, August 9^th at 10am in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St. Stoneham.  At the request of Meta’s Family, please meet them directly at church.  Interment Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
