Michael A. Joyce of Stoneham passed away on Friday, September 16th, 2011. He was 29 years of age.





Born in Stoneham, Michael was the loving son of Diane (Correiro) Joyce and the late Richard Joyce. Michael was a warm and caring son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. He will be deeply missed.





Michael graduated from Stoneham High School, Class 2001. He continued his education at Wentworth Institution of Technology and achieved a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering. Michael was employed at Madico Inc. in Woburn after successfully completing his co-op there. Michael had a passion for engineering, which earned him a promotion to Senior Mechanical Engineer.





Michael recently purchased his first home in Tewksbury where he enjoyed updated and maintaining the property. Michael could fix anything. Everything came easy to him. Michael enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, playing golf, riding his motorcycle, and just bringing humor to everyone's lives.





Michael was also a Captain in the Civil Air Patrol, which he prepared and mentored those to serve in our military. Michael will be missed dearly by his mother, his Big brother, family and many friends.





Michael was the devoted brother of Christopher S. Joyce of Stoneham. He was the loving nephew of Valerie Correiro and David Ponziano of Stoneham, Elaine Flannelly and her husband Jim of Illinois, William Joyce and his wife Jean of Wakefield and Kathleen Bigelow and her husband Robert of New Hampshire. Michael also survived by many loving cousins and friends.





Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Thursday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Michael's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Wednesday from 3-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants will be available. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham.
