Michael E. Plunkett

Michael Plunkett of Minnesota, formerly of Saugus passed away unexpectedly with his companion Lori Schaaf by his side on July 22, 2024 at the age of 65.

Born Friday, December 26, 1958 in Somerville, to loving parents James & Jessie (Rideout) Plunkett.

Michael was the proud business owner of Power on Wheels Mobile Wash in Saugus for several years. Loyal to his community, he loved coaching soccer & basketball for Saugus Youth Sports. As an outdoorsman, Mike could often be found boating & fishing on the ocean. He enjoyed a nice Budweiser and was a proud member of the Saugus VFW. He loved being the animal control officer in Saugus for many years.

Michael was a loving, kind and hardworking son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Michael is survived by his children; Randi Lowery and her husband Alex, Michael Plunkett and his wife Brianna, Andrew Plunkett & Justin Plunkett. His grandchildren; Cori and Bane Plunkett, and Jaimee & Sara Auger.

His loving siblings; Jessie Plunkett – Cash – Bero and her husband Dave, Jim Plunkett and his wife Maria, Fran Plunkett & Dianne Belski, Robert Plunkett and his wife Barbara and his twin sister Roberta Eastman and her husband David.

Michael was predeceased in death by his parents, James & Jessie (Rideout) Plunkett as well as his brother Jack Plunkett.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Michael’s Family on Wednesday, July 31st from 4-8pm in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main Street (RT 28) STONEHAM. Parking attendants and elevator are available.
