Muriel K. (Johnston) Taylor of Reading passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Wilmington Health Care Center in Wilmington. She was 101 years of age.
Born on June 30, 1912 in Malden, Muriel was the daughter of the late Thomas Johnston and Elizabeth (Warrington) Johnston. Muriel was a warm and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Muriel lived in Cedar Glen in Reading for over 25 years. She enjoyed going to the theater to see ballet, especially the Wang. She loved to bake and watch the Red Sox. Muriel loved her family and taking part in all family activities and achievements. She loved spending summers in Sandwich on Peter's Pond on Cape Cod. She was a member of St. Anne's Guild at St. Paul's Church in Malden.
Muriel was the beloved wife of the late Charles C. Taylor. She was the devoted mother of Muriel E. Mustone and her late husband John and William C. Taylor. Muriel was the cherished grandmother of Timothy J. Mustone and his wife Mea, James M. Mustone and his wife Tara, Melissa B. Nichols and her husband Matthew and Andrew C. Mustone. She was the loving great grandmother of Quinn, Teagan, Cullen, Nevin, Rowan, Declan, Mark, Nicole, Gillian, Bryan and Kelsey. Dear sister of the late Margaret Archibald, Florence Gardiner, George Johnston and Thomas Johnson.
A Funeral Service celebrating Muriel's Life will be held on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and handicapped elevator are available. Interment Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
