Muriel Woodruff

Muriel (Reebenacker) Woodruff of Reading passed away Friday August 17, 2007 at her home. She was 81 years of age.
Muriel was the beloved wife of 58 years of Robert E. Woodruff. She was the devoted mother of Susan Leone and her husband John of Wakefield, Martha Keegan and her husband Michael of Methuen, Robert Woodruff and his wife Elaine of Derry, New Hampshire and Christine Cosbar and her husband Jeff of Lynn. She was the loving grandmother of Janice and JD Leone of Wakefield, and Travis and Ethan Comeford of New Hampshire. Muriel was the dear sister of Marjorie of Lynn, Dorothy of Pennsylvania, Robert of Methuen, Noel of Florida and the late Maurice and Richard.
Muriel was a lifelong resident of Reading, graduating from Reading High School Class of 1944. She was active in Girl Scouts, PTA, and a Member of Reading Town Meeting. She was a member of the National Society of Decorative Painting, a member of the Reading Craftsmen and a member of Stoneham Arts and Crafts. Muriel taught painting for 23 years in Reading.
Funeral from the Joseph Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING on Wednesday at 9am followed by a Funeral Service Celebrating Muriel's Life in the First Baptist Church 45 Woburn St. Reading at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours, Tuesday 4-8pm. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot on Linden St. Interment Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Muriel may be made to the Winchester Hospital Breast Cancer Fund Winchester Hospital Foundation 41 Highland Ave Winchester, MA 01890.
