Natale "Nat" J. LaSpina of Stoneham passed away on Monday February 3, 2003. He was 85 years of age.
Born in Everett, Massachusetts, Mr. LaSpina lived in Stoneham for many years. Nat graduated from Boston College High School in 1935. He was a successful self-employed plasterer with the Local #10 Plasterer's Union. Nat's love for his family was first in his life. His warm and friendly smile reflected the wonderful relationships he made over the years. In World War II, Mr. LaSpina proudly served our country as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army. He was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal.
Nat was the beloved husband of Theresa (Forrest) LaSpina. He was the devoted father of Paul LaSpina of North Reading and Joanne Anderson and her husband Curt of Stoneham. Mr. LaSpina was the cherished grandfather of twin grandsons Jeff and Jason Anderson. Nat was the dear brother of Rose Morgante of Maryland, Margaret Aspesi of Woburn, Marie Norton of Melrose, John LaSpina of Malden and the late Horace, Joseph and William LaSpina.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours at the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) on Wednesday February 5, 4-7pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday February 6, 2003 at 10:00am in St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham.
