Nathan A. Labella

March 16, 1922 — April 11, 2004

Nathan A. LaBella of Reading, formerly of Medford passed away on Sunday April 11, 2004 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 82 years of age.

Born in Medford, Nathan was the son of the late Philip LaBella and Isabella (Forti) LaBella. Nathan was a warm and gentle son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be missed by all.

Nathan was a dedicated truck driver for Dave's Transportation for many years. During World War II, Nathan proudly served our country in the United States Coast Guard. After his service, Nathan was a member of the Lodge of Elks #915 in Medford.

Nathan was the beloved husband of the late Gloria (DeVivo) LaBella. He was the devoted father of Lorraine LaBella of Colorado, Janet Moebius and her husband Terry of Stoneham and the late Richard LaBella. Nathan was the cherished grandfather of Jaime Zike and her husband Gregory of Virginia and Jenny Smedley. He was the father in law of Dede LaBella and the dear brother of Louis LaBella of Billerica, Anna Orso of Medford and Katherine Pizzotti of Stoneham. Nathan was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick's Church 71 Central St. Stoneham Thursday at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Wednesday 5-9pm in the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Parking attendants will be on duty. In lieu of flowers, please make donation in memory of Nathan to Kidney Transplant Dialysis Association P.O. Box 51362 G.M.F. Boston, MA 02205-1362.
