Nichole Person, of 10 Emerald St. Wakefield, passed way on Sunday June 3, 2007 after she bravely fought cancer for 9 years. During this time she was and inspiration not only to her family and friends, but to all who knew her.She was 47 years of age.
Nichole was married to her devoted husband Michael Person for 18 years and had five beautiful children, Tiffany, Anastasia, Dominique, Angelo, and Maria. Nichole loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed Angelo's paper model, Anastasia and Dominique's drawings, Maria's joyful laugh, and visits from her oldest daughter, Tiffany, who lives in Florida. She found great support and strength from her husband Michael.
Two groups that Nichole treasured are the New Hope Coalition and the Mother's Group at St. Patrick Church. Sometimes Nichole would even go right from chemotherapy to Mother's Group. She never wanted to miss a meeting. Another great joy for Nichole was a yearly vacation in North Conway, N.H. She vacationed there as a little girl and continued the tradition with her own family. There was a lot of time spent on the beach with her family and bargain hunting, which was Nichole's favorite.
As Nichole's disease progressed it became more difficult for her to care for her youngest daughter, Maria, who has Toriello-Carey syndrome. The Saint Patrick Church community and many other wonderful volunteers and friends pitched in with overwhelming generosity to remodel Nichole and Michael's home. This made daily living easier for Nichole and Maria. Nichole was not only grateful to all the workers and donors, but truly enjoyed meeting and getting to know these wonderful people.
Despite Nichole's difficult battle with cancer, she was always concerned with the welfare of others. She was always smiling, never with a complaint. She will be truly missed by all of her family and friends. Nichole was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM on Thursday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Nichole's Life in St. Patrick's Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am.
Family and friends are kindly to attend Visiting Hours on Wednesday 4-8pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.
