Nicolino La Serra

LA SERRA, Nicolino of Stoneham, March 21, 2012 at age 77 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Calabria Italy, he lived in East Boston for many years before moving to Stoneham. Beloved husband of 50 years to Itala "Silvana"( Ciraco) La Serra. Cherished father of Stephan La Serra of Stoneham and Rita La Serra of East Boston. Son of the late Stefano La Serra and Antonia "Maria" (LaGrotteria) La Serra. Loving brother of the late Anna Maria La Serra. Dear nephew of Palma Apa, Natalina Furlano, Carmela Cervalo of Italy and the late Francesca Velente, Francesco, Narzareno and Graziano La Grotteria of Italy.In addition he leaves behind many cousins also in Italy. He was a member of the Sons of Italy and of the Calabrese Club. Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM Tuesday at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Nicoloino's Eternal Life in St. Patrick's Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share remembrances with the family Monday 4-8pm in the funeral home. Parking attendants will be available. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
