Norma T. (Boyden) Sweeney of Reading, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at her home. She was 82 years of age.
Born in Boston, Norma was the loving daughter of the late William B. Boyden and Mary (McDonald) Boyden. Norma was a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be sorely missed.
Norma was a dedicated homemaker. Her true love was for her family. They were first and foremost in her life.
Norma was the beloved wife of the late Paul F. Sweeney. She was the devoted mother of Paul W. Sweeney, Jean Hoysa, Michael Sweeney, Patrick Sweeney, Stephen Sweeney, Anne Geissinger, Mary Jo Flatley, Kathryn Murphy, Peter Sweeney, Christopher Sweeney. Norma was the cherished grandmother of 26 and great grandmother of 6. She was the dear sister of the late William Boyden. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass celebrating Norma's life will be held on Wednesday at 9am in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St. READING. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Tuesday from 4-7pm in the Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING. Parking attendants will be available. Interment Charles Lawn Memorial Park, Reading.
