Oscar T. DeStefano of Stoneham, formerly of Everett, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center. He was 54 years of age.
Born in Avellino, Italy, Oscar was the loving son of Antonio DeStefano and Antonietta (Colarusso) DeStefano. Oscar was a warm and caring husband, father, son, brother and friend. He will be sadly missed.
Oscar was the CEO of Caffe Paradiso in the North End. He was a member of the Lowell Rotary Club. He loved making Italian ice cream and gelato. He had a great joy of family and was very giving to all people. He loved to travel and play soccer.
Oscar was the beloved husband of Rita S. (Cutone) DeStefano. He was the devoted father of Katia and Tania DeStefano, both of Stoneham. Oscar was the cherished son of Antonio DeStefano and Antonietta (Colarusso) DeStefano. He was the dear brother of Adriana DeStefano Federico of Stoneham.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Saturday at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Oscar's life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 9am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours, Friday 4-8pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Entombment Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden.
