Pamela E. Durkin

February 28, 1930 — September 20, 2007

Pamela E. (Weber) Durkin of Reading, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading. She was 77 years of age.





Born in Lewiston, Maine, Pamela was the loving daughter of the late Gregory Weber and Helen (Kendall) Weber. Pamela was a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be sadly missed.





Pamela grew up in Lewiston, Maine, but she was a resident of Reading for the past 35 years. She was a graduate of Mount Saint Mary's College in Hooksett, New Hampshire. Pamela achieved her Master's Degree from Boston College, where she also met her husband, Lawrence. Pamela retired from the Massachusetts Department of Social Services, chapter of Child Welfare.





Pamela loved her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a caring friend. Her family meant everything to her. They were first and foremost in her life.





Pamela was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence A. Durkin. She was the devoted mother of Helen Durkin and her husband Mark Landry of Medway, Lawrence Durkin and his wife Kathleen Grattan, Thomas Durkin and his wife Jessica Bradley, all of Beverly. Pamela was the cherished grandmother of Kate and Emily Landry, both of Medway, and the dear sister of Patricia Sullivan and her husband Kenneth of Reading, Gary Weber and his wife Jeanne, Gregory Weber and his wife Susan, all of Maine.





Funeral from the Joseph Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING Tuesday at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Pamela's life in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St. Reading at 9am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours, Monday, 4-8pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment Wood End Cemetery, Reading.
