Patricia Dodge Stewart, 90, unexpectedly went to be with the beloved family she had missed so dearly, with a cocktail of Crown Royal in hand on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.
Born May 7, 1936, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Patricia was the loving daughter of the late Lyman Dodge and his wife, Ruth (Higgins) Dodge.
She lived an incredibly rich life filled with adventure, remarkable experiences, and more than a few wonderful stories. Over the years, she worked alongside some of Washington, D.C.’s most notable political figures, spanning administrations from President Dwight D. Eisenhower through President George H. W. Bush. She even earned the prestigious title of Ms. Capitol Hill.
Pat loved fiercely. An orator by nature, she never missed an opportunity to tell the people she loved exactly how much they meant to her. Her words could be eloquent and tender, heartfelt and unforgettable—and, at times, wonderfully spicy. She spoke her mind, loved with her whole heart, and had a presence that was impossible to ignore. Those fortunate enough to be loved by Pat always knew it.
Patricia was the mother of Susan Boyd (husband, Chris), and the late Lisa Campbell (husband, Jeff). She was the grandmother of Morghann Boyd and Devon Boyd.
She was the dear sister of Sylvia “Tillie” Dodge and the late Lyman “Skip” Dodge III, David Dodge, and Clayton “Claytie” Dodge. Patricia is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss her. Thanksgiving will not be the same without her stories, burned carrots, and shenanigans!
Funeral services for Patricia will be held privately at a later date.
