Patricia A. Sharkey

Patricia A. (Hickey) Sharkey of Reading, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading. She was 81 years of age.
Born in Revere, she was the daughter of the late William and Juanna (Grace) Hickey. Patricia was a warm and caring wife, loving mother, devoted grandmother and sister. She loved children and stayed at home to raise her kids. Her family was first and foremost in her life. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Patricia was a proud volunteer at the Senior Center in Reading, she worked in the lunch program for the Reading Public Schools and for Meals on Wheels.
Patricia was the beloved wife of James W. Sharkey. She was the devoted mother of Timothy Sharkey and his wife Bridget of Lynnfield, Maureen Bonnell and her husband Paul of Haverhill, Terrance Sharkey and his wife Elaine, Patrick Sharkey and his wife Darlene all of Reading, Mary Long and her husband Joseph of Wilmington, and the late Kathleen Benson and her surviving spouse Edward of Wilmington and her late nephew David Robertson. She was the cherished grandmother of 17, great grandmother of 2. Patricia was the loving sister of Thomas Hickey of Plaistow, NH, Grace Dyment of Reading Robert Hickey of North Reading and 10 late siblings. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Doherty -Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING Monday at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Patricia's Eternal Life in St. Theresa Church, 63 Winter St., North Reading at 10 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Sunday from 2-6 pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants will be available. Interment Wood End Cemetery, Reading.
