Patricia (Pennachio) Torra, 99, of The Villages Florida, formerly from Reading, Massachusetts peacefully passed away on April 28, 2022. Born in Avellino Italy, she emigrated to the United States as a youngster. Patricia was an accomplished seamstress and worked for many years in the garment industry. She had a wonderful talent for cooking delicious meals especially during the holidays. Mom cared for her family and made every effort to be be sure we were taken care of. Her grace and courage at the end/beginning should be an inspiration to us all.
Patricia is predeceased by her husband John, and her son, John Jr. She is survived by her son Anthony Torra and his wife Mary, grandsons Anthony Torra Jr and his wife Melissa, Michael Torra and Sonja Free-Burnt and Joseph Torra and his fiance Melissa "Mel" Haskett. Patricia is also survived by her sister Peggy Mendes, daughter Jean Burns and her husband Richard, granddaughters Patricia Bauer and Marie Byrne and her husband David. She has 6 great-grandchildren – Austin, Hayes and Delaney Torra and Alyson Bauer and Jayna & Ella Byrne. Patricia also has many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Patricia's Family on Saturday, May 14th from 11am - 1pm in the Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden Street READING. Parking attendants and elevator are available. A private burial will take place at The Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
