Obituary

Paul L. Gavagan, known affectionately as "Gaffa," passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 16, 2024 in Medford. He was the beloved son of the late Louise K. and James N. Gavagan and the loving brother of James Gavagan and Linda Swift and her husband Ken. Paul was a cherished uncle to Jimmy and Jared, and a great-uncle to James, William, and James. Paul dedicated 34 years of his life to a successful career as a train conductor for the MBTA. Born and raised in Somerville, he called Medford home for the rest of his life. He had a passion for gardening, cheering on his favorite Boston sports teams, and indulging in a delicious chicken parm. Paul lived life, "his way," and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
