Paul J. "PJ" Meurer of Florida, formerly of Reading passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 in Florida. He was 93 years of age.
Paul was the loving son of the late Henniretta (Plumber) Meurer and Peter Meurer. Paul was a warm and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be sadly missed.
Paul founded Little League in Reading. He had worked in Fenway Park as a kid. Paul played semi-pro baseball having played against Jimmy Foxx. Before retiring, Paul worked as a Master Plumber for the Mass Plumbers and Gas Fitters.
Beloved husband of the late Olga (Ulchak) Meurer. Devoted father of Christine, Sonja and Paula. Cherised grandfather of 8 and great grandfather of 2. Dear brother of the late Henniretta.
A Graveside Service was held on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Charles Lawn Cemetery in Reading.
