Paul D. Sanford

Paul D. Sanford of Salisbury, formerly of Medford passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021. He is 90 years of age.

Born on April 20, 1931 in Medford, Paul is the loving son of the late Philip Sanford and Elizabeth (Robinson) Sanford. Paul is a warm, kind, gentle and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend.

Paul was a graduate of Medford Vocational High School. He worked as a machinist at Macon for 30 years. Paul's greatest joy was his family and nothing made him happier than to be surrounded by those he loved. He was thrilled when he bought a summer home in York, Maine and experienced many great times there with family and friends. Anyone who knows him knows how much he loved lying in the sun at the beach. Paul was also an avid sports fan. He watched every single Red Sox and Patriot's game and was passionate about his home-town teams. He also loved music. He loved to sing along to his favorite songs by Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett.

Paul is the beloved husband of Marjorie (Myers) Sanford. He is the devoted father of Debra Hanson and her husband Doug, Paula Breen and the late Scott Sanford. The cherished grandfather of Matthew Breen and his wife Yael, Deanna Usher and her husband Sayer, Kevin Breen, Michael Hanson, Ashley Breen and her fiancé Jameson, Danielle Sanford and Chelsea Hanson, Paul is the doting great grandfather of twin boys Dustin & Conley, Kai and Lyla. He is the dear brother of Robert Sanford and the late Phillip Sanford and Marjorie Kelly. Paul is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

A Funeral Service Celebrating Paul's Eternal Life will be held on Tuesday, December 14th at 12pm in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Paul's Family prior to the Service beginning at 11am. Parking attendants and elevator are available.
