Paul D. Sterner of Stoneham passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2004 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. He was 71 years of age.
Born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Joseph J. Sterner and Anna (Muscho) Sterner. He was a loving and caring son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin and friend. He will be missed by all. Paul had a loving smile that everyone cherished. His family was first and foremost in his life.
Paul was a dedicated salesman in the steel industry for many years. He was a loyal member of the V.F.W. and the U.S.S. Worcester Association. During the Korean Conflict, Paul proudly served our country as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps.
Paul was the beloved husband of Barbara (DeLuca) Sterner. He was the devoted father of Marianne Kelly and her husband Robert of Stoneham, Joseph Sterner and his wife Michelle of Methuen, Jacqueline McNinch and her husband John of Lenox. Paul was the cherished grandfather of Cameron and Madison Kelly, Derek, Rachel, and Drew Sterner, Tucker and Connor McNinch, and the dear brother of Mabel Bunk of PA, and the late Harold Sterner of PA, and Edith Smith of NJ.
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Wednesday 4-8pm in the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St (RT 28) STONEHAM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham Thursday at 10am. Services will conclude with burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Paul to St. Patrick's Building Fund, 9 Pomeworth St. Stoneham, MA 02180. Parking attendants on duty.
