Pauline Longo

d. August 19, 2021

Pauline Longo, a Stoneham resident of 68 years passed away on August 19, 2021, she was 97 years old.

Pauline met and fell in love with her husband, Peter, in England during World War II. Peter, an Army soldier, was managing American war-time classified photos and movies in a military film library and Pauline, a British citizen, who had been drafted to work for the American Government, was routing classified military communications.

When the war ended, Peter returned to America while Pauline's father secured passage for her to cross the ocean to America on the maiden voyage of the Queen Elizabeth. When the Queen Elizabeth docked in New York Harbor, Pauline and Peter were happily reunited and were inseparable until Peter's death in 2004.

Pauline is survived by her son, Paul Longo, and his wife, Patricia, of Andover, Massachusetts; her granddaughter, Sarah Longo and her husband Dan Mullen of Wakefield, Massachusetts; her daughter, Carolyn Kilcline and her late husband Charles, of San Juan Capistrano, California; her granddaughter, Amy Faith Kilcline, and her husband, Andrew Laughlin, of Anchorage, Alaska and three great grandchildren, Charlie, Allie and Emily Faith Laughlin of Anchorage, Alaska.

Pauline was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed. She treasured her life as a homemaker, sewing, knitting, cooking, and gardening as well as her many trips to England and California to enjoy family.

At the preference of the Family, Pauline's funeral services are private.
