Peter F. Longo of Stoneham passed away on Tuesday November 23, 2004 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 79 years of age.
Born in Malden, Peter was the beloved son of the late Felix Longo and Annie (Candeora) Longo. Peter was a wonderful and loving son, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all.
Peter was a dedicated Elevator Mechanic for The South Postal Annex for many years. He was a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 10. Peter had a love for his family that went unparalleled. They were first and foremost in his life. During World War II, Peter proudly served our country in the United States Army.
Peter was the beloved husband of Pauline (Brown) Longo, with whom would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on Thanksgiving Day. He was the devoted father of Paul F. Longo and his wife Patricia of Andover, Carolyn Kilcline and her late husband Charles of San Juan Capistrano, California. Peter was the cherished grandfather of Sarah Longo and Amy Kilcline.
A Celebration of Peter's life will be held on Friday at 4pm in the Chapel of the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours on Friday from 2-4pm. At the request of the family, interment will be private.
