Philip A. Cefalo Jr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 23, 2021. He was 71 years of age.
Born on November 30, 1949 in Boston, Phil was the loving son of the late Philip A. Cefalo and Rose (Catizone) Cefalo. Phil was a warm, kind and caring son, brother, husband, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will truly be missed.
Phil was the beloved husband of Sherry (Meuse) Cefalo of 51 years. He was the devoted father of Philip A. Cefalo III and his wife Anastasia, Nicholas R. Cefalo and his wife Allison and Jeremy J. Cefalo and his girlfriend Stephanie. The cherished grandfather of Andrew, Anthony, Camden, Landen, Evan and Charlotte. Phil was the dear brother of the late Charles, Mary, Theresa, Lena and Lorraine. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
His passion for music lead him to a career as a keyboard and accordion player who sang with his bands for over 50 years. His kindness and compassion lead him to a career in the mental health field where he was an advocate for those in need. He enjoyed summers by his pool, spending time in New Jersey with his family and was a passionate Patriots and Red Sox fan. Most of all, his greatest joy was time spent with his wife Sherry and their children and grandchildren.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM, Tuesday, June 29th at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Phil's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Phil's Family on Monday, June 28th from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available.
