Brienze, Philomena E. "Philly" (D'Elia) –Of Somerville, July 22nd. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Brienze. Mother of Joseph A. Brienze Jr. of Somerville, Gail F. Carnazzo and her husband Robert of Everett, Philip M. and his fiancée Vera Larsen of Lynn and Steven and his wife Cindy of Arlington. Daughter of the late Gaetano and Fortunata Brienze. Grandmother of Joseph, Jessica, Timothy, Matthew, Sasha, Laycie and Andrew. Great grandmother of Joseph and Azriella. Sister of the late Lucy Ferracane, Mary Magliozzi, John D'Elia and her twin Joseph D'Elia. Philly is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are most respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph's Church, 264 Washington St., (Union Sq.), Somerville on Monday, July 27th at 11am. Visiting hours will be held for Philomena at the funeral home Sunday between 2-6pm. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Philomena's name to the Northeast Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Avenue, Salem, MA 01970.
