Pompeia P. (Palmieri) Striano, of Stoneham formerly of Everett, passed away on Tuesday June 17, 2008 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. She was 97 years of age.
Born in Poggia Imperiale, Italy, Pompeia was the beloved daughter of the late Agostino Palmieri and Rose (Pettograsso) Palmieri. Pompeia had a love for her family. They were first and foremost in her life.
Pompeia was the beloved wife of the late Francis A. Striano. She was the devoted mother of Rose Howard and her husband Robert, June Scarpa and her late husband Albert, and Phyllis Costa. She was the loving grandmother of Stephen, Thomas, Lisa, Michele, Marc, Brian and Lee and the cherished great grandmother of Natalie, Andrew, Sawyer, Olivia, Gianna, and Nicollette. She was the dear sister of Charles Palmieri.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM Friday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Pompeia's Life in St. Patrick's Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am.
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Thursday 4-8pm. Parking attendants will be available. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
