R. Norene “Nini” Regan formerly of Newton MA, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at the age of 79 years.
Born on December 18, 1944, in Newton, Norene is the loving daughter of the late Carl Joseph Regan and Louise (McDonald) Regan. Norene is a warm, kind, gentle & loyal daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend who will be truly missed.
Norene was a lively and adventurous spirit. Her good humor and infectious smile allowed her to develop many lifelong friendships no matter where she lived. At a young age, she and her friends drove across the country with dreams of living in California. Upon returning to the Boston area, she attended Boston State Secretarial School.
Married in 1966, she raised her family primarily in Wellesley MA. Nini also lived in Bartlett, New Hampshire, Bradenton, Florida, and Saratoga Springs, New York before settling in the North Shore of Massachusetts.
Norene, fondly called “Ding or Grammie” loved her grandchildren beyond words. She would often be seen at their birthday parties, and hockey or lacrosse games, and she always offered to babysit even when the kids’ parents had no plans to go out.
Nini is the beloved mother of Kristin (Yerardi) Sullivan of Melrose, MA and Derek Yerardi of Bedford, MA. Nini is survived by her dear son-in-law, Glen Sullivan, and her beloved daughter-in-law, Kristen Yerardi. She is the cherished grandmother of Brady Sullivan, Regan Sullivan, and the late Conleigh Sullivan, as well as Astrid Yerardi and Tova Yerardi. Norene is the dear sister of Carl "Joe" Regan, Janice Keany, and Carlotta Tyler. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
