Raffaella (Santorelli) Barbieri of Stoneham, MA passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. She was 82 years of age.
Born on March 23, 1934 in Avellino, Italy, Raffaella was the loving daughter of the late Pasquale Santorelli and Palmira (Petruzzo) Santorelli. She was the dear sister of the late Pasquale, the late Antonio, Rosa, Gerado, Salvatore, and their spouses, Dora, Julieta, Guiseppe, Tina and Carmela.
At the age of 20, Raffaella traveled to San Juan, Argentina, to unite with the love of her life, Raffaelle Barbieri. She was the devoted mother of Roberto, Palmira and their spouses, Maria and Osvaldo.
She was the cherished grandmother of Arnaldo, Andrea, Rafael, Marcelo, Silvana, Vanessa and their spouses, Jahaira, Jaquilyn, Christopher and Christopher. Raffaella was the nurturing great grandmother of Gabriana, Juliana, Mariana, Austin, Maddison and Emiliana. She was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Raffaella was a warm-hearted, one of a kind woman. She was known to open her doors to those in times of need. Those who came into her life became family to her. For Raffaella, family was the most important aspect of her life. This sense of solidarity remains as her legacy. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.
A Funeral Mass Celebrating Raffaella's Eternal Life will be held on Wednesday, January 18th at 10am in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham, MA. Please go directly to Church.
