Randy Lee (Meuse) Carvalho, 37, formerly of Reading, Athol, California and Virginia, passed away on July 10, 2019, exactly one month after his godfather, Uncle Steve's passing. He graduated high school in 2000, he obtained a few associate's degrees and was in the process of completing his studies in the hopes of starting a Master's program in Psychology next year.
He felt comfortable working in human services where he related so well with his clients and encouraged them to drive their own treatment goals. Recently he worked with traumatic brain injured adults and was instrumental in the passage of a new law in Virginia by testifying about the importance of having a TBI indicator on their license.
He was an extremely talented, self-taught musician of guitar and drums and a singer/songwriter in the many bands he was in. Randy was the owner/operator of Flagg Audio which specialized in his creation of a distortion microphone made out of a phone receiver. He was a valuable volunteer at the Music Resource Center.
As passionate and accomplished as Randy was in his professions and hobbies, the most important lights of his life were his two daughters, Charlotte (4) and Adeline (2) whom he was so proud of. He also felt very fortunate to have spent so many happy years with his wife Kodi Carvalho.
In addition to his wife and children, Randy will be sorely missed by his parents Lori and Kevin Fortin and his siblings Lawrence Meuse, Amanda Meuse, William Fortin, Michelle Fortin, David Fortin and Amanda Haase, along with his cherished grandmother Claire Carvalho.
Randy also leaves numerous loving family members especially aunts Tina (Ray) Garrett and Lynn (Bob) Westcott, uncle Mike Carvalho and cousin Rachel Garrett. His memory will be treasured by his young neices and nephews, extended family members and many devoted friends and a couple real special ones.
Randy was predeceased by his grandfather William Carvalho in 2010 and recently by his uncle Steven Carvalho.
Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Randy's Family at the Doherty-Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St., Reading, on Thursday, July 18th, 2019 from 12 to 1 pm. Parking attendants and elevator are available.
