Raymond W. DiCecca, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Thursday August 20th, 2026 with his family by his side. He was 75 years of age.
Ray found his greatest joy in spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He was always there, cheering at sporting events, attending concerts and school programs, and proudly serving as the family’s “Uber Dad.” He also cherished sharing breakfast with his brother, Chris.
His relationship with Jesus and his church family were an important part of his life. He loved attending his Monday night prayer group, formed lifelong friendships through small groups, and faithfully served Granite United Church however he could. You could find him photographing almost any church event over the years or greeting people with a friendly smile.
Ray also enjoyed true-crime stories, making people laugh, sharing dad jokes, and spending time with friends at Poland Spring. Most of all, he treasured going on adventures with Mary, his high school sweetheart and the love of his life.
Raymond is the beloved husband of Mary (Sciarappa) DiCecca. He is the loving father of Gregg DiCecca and his wife Danyelle, Tracy Hilker and her husband Jeff and Melissa Ricketts and her husband Adrian. Cherished grandfather of Elliott, Eva, Emerson, Isaac, Amarion and Evan. Dear brother of Chris DiCecca and his wife Lesa. Uncle of Christopher DiCecca, Megan Laurencelle, Roman Waring, Nicholas Sciarappa, Nathaniel Sciarappa and Chrissy Sciarappa.
A Life Celebration Service will be held at Granite United Church in Salem, New Hampshire, on Saturday, August 29, at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the memorial fund established in Ray’s honor. All proceeds will be presented to Little Scholars Daycare, where he was lovingly known as “Papa.”
