Raymond H. Fougere, of Medford, passed away on Friday October 12, 2018.
Born in Medford, Raymond was the loving son of the late Joseph and Marcelline (LeBlanc) Fougere. Raymond was a loving son, husband, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Raymond proudly defended our freedom as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War
Raymond is the beloved husband of the late Lorraine (Gaudet) Fougere. He is the devoted brother of Ester Bergin, Theresa Roach and her husband Ben and the late Claude Fougere and his wife Peggy, Ethel Michalak and her husband Paul, Madeline Cutts and her husband Winn. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Ray was the President of Belmont Savings Bank for almost thirty years before his retirement in 1993. He was a hole-in-one golfer, an award winning bowler, and a long time member of the British Club in Lawrence and the Andover Country Club. He loved his trips with his loving wife Lorraine to the Bahamas and Quebec as well as visiting their second home in Nova Scotia. He also loved his golf trips with friends and their visits to Sarasota and Foxwoods.
Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with the family on Friday October 19th in St. Raphael Church 56 High St. West Medford from 9 am to 10 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Raymond's Eternal at 10 am. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
