Regina (Merrigan) Thorne, of Stoneham, passed away on Tuesday December 3, 2007 at the Winchester Hospital. She was 86 years old.

Born in Boston, Regina was a resident of Stoneham for many years. She was a longtime member and former officer of the Mother's Club. She was a member of the St. Patrick's Parish Council for many years and also an active member of LaSalette Community.

Regina loved her family. They were first and foremost in her life. She love to knit clothes, hats, sweaters, etc. for pre-mature babies for many years. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend. She will be missed by all.

Regina was the beloved wife of the late Richard L. Thorne. She was the devoted daughter of the late Patrick Merrigan and Maryjosephine (McCarthy). Cherished mother of Richard and his wife Lois, Robert and his wife Maureen, Eileen Veitch and her husband Donald, Jeanmarie Manni and her husband Paul. She was the cherished grandmother of 13 and great grandmother of 7. Dear sister of Paul Merrigan, James Merrigan and Arthur Merrigan. Also survived by 3 loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Friday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Regina's life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am.

Family and friends are kindly invited Visiting Hours, Thursday 4-8pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery Stoneham.
